Ford Mustang GT Fast Back

NUMBERS MATCHING AND OH SO RARE …

Ford – 1967 Mustang GT Fastback. Lime Gold over Ivy Gold interior. 289cid V8 with 271hp 4 bbl Hi Performance with 4 speed transmission. An original one owner car treated to a 3 year rotisserie restoration to a level of detail that you won’t believe. Very highly optioned car in addition to the powertrain.

I found this Mustang after getting to know the restorer who lovingly worked on this car for three years in Tucson, Arizona. It was ordered, owned, and driven by its original owner until 2009 who lived in Albuquerque, New. The car was built in the San Jose plant in April, 1967. A southwest car all its life, it was parked in a garage around 1996 and not driven and, in 2009, was bought by the restorer and thoroughly documented by Marti Auto Works. It is only 1 of 4 produced with these options: it is a C-code numbers matching fastback in Lime Gold (also available on 67 Shelby’s) with matching Ivy Gold interior and built with a 289 2bbl 3 speed transmission. The restorer retained the original block but modified to 271 hp HiPo specs including correct 4 bbl carburetor, heads, cam and 4 speed transmission. It also includes power front disc brakes, retractable seatbelts, GT handling package, GT interior package and GT exterior décor package. It rides on factory correct styled steel wheels and raised white letter tires. The turn signals are in the hood, with original reconditioned gauges and an 8,000 rpm tachometer. It has the fastback’s 2+2 fold down rear seats, a pass through to the trunk, emergency flashers and an AM radio and clock that work beautifully. The car was never wrecked and still has the original Carlite date coded glass all around. All original motor parts (including the heads, 3 speed transmission and carburetor) have been retained and go with the car to keep it numbers matching. A full color hardbound book showing the complete restoration and the beautifully framed Marti report complete the package. There were over 471,000 1967 Mustangs produced. This one is special. Enjoy the pics!
